# Create Your First Dare

Every viral moment starts with one thing — a dare. \
\
If you are looking for help on submitting content to an existing dare, navigate to[ Join a Dare](/getting-started/join-a-dare.md)

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 1: Open the “Create Dare” Page</mark>

Click **CREATE DARE** in the top right corner.

<figure><img src="/files/WiAsRiE8334Jcn5Aj5dL" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 2: Write Your Title</mark>

Your title is the hook — one line that makes people *stop scrolling* and say “I could do that.”\
Keep it short, visual, and challenge-oriented.

**Examples:**

* “Do 10 push-ups in public with strangers cheering you on.”
* “Record yourself ordering the weirdest drink on the Starbucks menu.”

> Think of your title like a movie tagline. It should instantly paint a picture.

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 3: Add a Description</mark>

This is where you explain the rules — what counts, what doesn’t, and what proof is required.

You can format text (bold, italic, underline) and use up to 1,000 characters.

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 4: Choose a Visual</mark>

Upload a photo or GIF that represents your dare — or click **MAKE ONE FOR ME** to auto-generate a cover.\
Bold, cinematic images perform best. Faces and motion > static graphics.

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 5: Pick a Submission Format</mark>

This is where you decide what type of submissions you are looking for.\
Choose how people will submit their proof:

* **Text** – for written dares, debates, or creative ideas.
* **Image** – for photo-based proof.
* **Video** – for action and motion (most viral).

> If you’re unsure, choose **Video.** Proof beats polish.

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 6: Decide Who Picks the Winner</mark>

* **Community Voting** – the crowd upvotes submissions; top-rated entries win.
* **I’ll Select a Winner** – you act as the judge and pick your favorite(s).

> Voting = The most viral spectacle
>
> Creator-judged = taste

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 7: Optional Settings</mark>

#### **Multiple Winners**

By default, every dare has **one winner** who takes the full bounty.\
If you enable **“I Want to Have Multiple Winners,”** the bounty is split instead:

* **Community Vote Dares:** the **top 20 % of submissions (by upvotes)** share the bounty.
* **Creator-Judged Dares:** the **dare initiator** can choose up to **10 winners** to split the bounty.

> If you leave this off, it’s winner-takes-all.

#### **PVP Mode**&#x20;

Toggle **“I Want to Dare a Specific User.”**\
This puts the dare into **PVP mode** — a direct call-out between you and another user.\
Great for rivalries, rematches, or creator-vs-creator stunts.

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 8: Set the Bounty</mark>

This is the prize money.\
You can set it in **USDC or Solana** — the higher the bounty, the stronger the magnet.

> Rule of thumb: match the effort you’re asking for.\
> High-stakes dares move fast. Low-stakes dares go wide.

If you are not providing the bounty, and looking to crowdfund a dare that you want to do yourself, navigate to [1-800-FUND-MY-DARE](/getting-started/1-800-fund-my-dare.md)

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 9: Choose a Deadline</mark>

Select a **Last Submission Date.**\
The timer fuels participation — 3–7 days is ideal for momentum.

*(Note: maximum submission period is 3 weeks)*

### <mark style="color:red;">Step 10: Create Dare</mark>

Once everything looks good, click **CREATE DARE** at the bottom.\
Your dare goes live immediately — it’s visible on the Explore feed, ready for submissions.

> Now the internet decides what happens next.

#### 🧯 Safety & Moderation

Dare Market runs on chaos, creativity, and proof - Not harm.\
Every dare must follow our core rules: **no danger, no hate, no illegal activity.**

&#x20;If a submission crosses the line, it won’t go live. Repeat offenders get benched.&#x20;

> Push limits. Not people. The best dares make the internet laugh, not the news.

#### <mark style="color:red;">Example Dares</mark>

**Community:**

> “High-five 10 strangers in 60 seconds — one continuous video.”

**PVP:**

> “I dare @username to freestyle rap using only movie quotes.”
