# The Dare Market Manifesto

If you are reading this, let me begin by saying I know most of you have the attention span of a goldfish, so I'll keep this short and entertaining for you.

I built this because the internet forgot how to risk. Getting attention online has become soft and boring. Everyone's optimizing for views and engagement, pretending virality is some sort of spreadsheet formula. I wanted an antidote - a place where people \*actually do things\*, not just talk about them. Something sharp yet messy, transparent, and unforgiving. I don't care about playbooks or press kits - I care about what people actually do. \
\
This isn't a product roadmap. It's my ridiculous, beautiful obsession. I have spent months and months and nights I'll never get back to this stupid, glorious experiment. It's a life I chose.

If you show up here to be authentically yourself - welcome. I love you. If you show up to be loud, welcome, just make it real. If you show up like a fucking dumbass and post fake proof or try to monetize scamming - don't.

I will fucking find you and delete your account. I promise you that. No debate. No PR dance. I spent the last year dedicating my life to this. Don't fucking ruin this for me.

Make no mistake: I want chaos. I want the ridiculous, the brave, the fearless and the brilliant. I want people who do something that makes strangers clap and the world tilt for a second. Do something bold. Hell, do something that makes you uncomfortable. Break the feed. Make noise. That’s the currency here. Not bullshit metrics. Proof.

I have rules because people are terrible sometimes. No illegal shit. No direct harm. No hate. No scams. Push limits, not people. If you ignore that, you're fucking done. Finished. I will remove content. I will ban accounts. I will stomp on fraud like it’s a cockroach in a soup kitchen.

That’s the thorny part about building something you love - it becomes personal. I’ve watched people get famous here, disappear into nothing, come back different. I’ve watched ideas become real stunts, and I’ve watched stunts become culture. I promise you this - if you respect the place, it will respect you back. If you treat it like a game you can rig, you will find out what \*gone\* feels like.

This is also a love letter to the people who actually try. You who risk embarrassment for a shot at being remembered (and making some goddamn money). You who breathe through the cringe and post the weird video anyway. You who fund something because it’s funny and insane and deserves to exist. Those are the people I’m building for. You’re why I stayed up countless nights and fought to make this dream into a reality. Thank you. This platform was made for you.

If you want to play the long game here, make something that actually lands. Find your angle. Be bold. Be obvious. Be human. If you do it right, I’ll watch, I’ll clap, and I’ll put you where people can find you.

This is not a tech brochure or a fucking growth hack manual. And this is \*certainly\* not your average tech company.\
Show up. Prove something. You can just do things, you know.

And listen - I will defend this place like it's my last toy.

Welcome to Dare Market.

X

\
# Introduction

Dare Market is where the internet stops talking and starts *doing*.\
It's the platform where you can dare anyone — friends, strangers, creators, or the whole world — to do *almost* *anything* for real cash bounties.

Yes, there are actually people out there doing dares for money.

We live in a world where attention is the most valuable currency, yet it's harder than ever to earn — and almost impossible to keep. \
In a space where everyone's shouting, **Dare Market is where you break through.**\
\
This is where the next names get written into internet history.\
The fearless, the early, the unfiltered — they’ll shape what happens next.

# Create Your First Dare

This page walks you through posting your first dare on Dare Market

Every viral moment starts with one thing — a dare. \
\
If you are looking for help on submitting content to an existing dare, navigate to[ Join a Dare](/getting-started/join-a-dare)

### Step 1: Open the “Create Dare” Page

Click **CREATE DARE** in the top right corner.

### Step 2: Write Your Title

Your title is the hook — one line that makes people *stop scrolling* and say “I could do that.”\
Keep it short, visual, and challenge-oriented.

**Examples:**

* “Do 10 push-ups in public with strangers cheering you on.”
* “Record yourself ordering the weirdest drink on the Starbucks menu.”

> Think of your title like a movie tagline. It should instantly paint a picture.

### Step 3: Add a Description

This is where you explain the rules — what counts, what doesn’t, and what proof is required.

You can format text (bold, italic, underline) and use up to 1,000 characters.

### Step 4: Choose a Visual

Upload a photo or GIF that represents your dare — or click **MAKE ONE FOR ME** to auto-generate a cover.\
Bold, cinematic images perform best. Faces and motion > static graphics.

### Step 5: Pick a Submission Format

This is where you decide what type of submissions you are looking for.\
Choose how people will submit their proof:

* **Text** – for written dares, debates, or creative ideas.
* **Image** – for photo-based proof.
* **Video** – for action and motion (most viral).

> If you’re unsure, choose **Video.** Proof beats polish.

### Step 6: Decide Who Picks the Winner

* **Community Voting** – the crowd upvotes submissions; top-rated entries win.
* **I’ll Select a Winner** – you act as the judge and pick your favorite(s).

> Voting = The most viral spectacle
>
> Creator-judged = taste

### Step 7: Optional Settings

#### **Multiple Winners**

By default, every dare has **one winner** who takes the full bounty.\
If you enable **“I Want to Have Multiple Winners,”** the bounty is split instead:

* **Community Vote Dares:** the **top 20 % of submissions (by upvotes)** share the bounty.
* **Creator-Judged Dares:** the **dare initiator** can choose up to **10 winners** to split the bounty.

> If you leave this off, it’s winner-takes-all.

#### **PVP Mode**

Toggle **“I Want to Dare a Specific User.”**\
This puts the dare into **PVP mode** — a direct call-out between you and another user.\
Great for rivalries, rematches, or creator-vs-creator stunts.

### Step 8: Set the Bounty

This is the prize money.\
You can set it in **USDC or Solana** — the higher the bounty, the stronger the magnet.

> Rule of thumb: match the effort you’re asking for.\
> High-stakes dares move fast. Low-stakes dares go wide.

If you are not providing the bounty, and looking to crowdfund a dare that you want to do yourself, navigate to [1-800-FUND-MY-DARE](/getting-started/1-800-fund-my-dare)

### Step 9: Choose a Deadline

Select a **Last Submission Date.**\
The timer fuels participation — 3–7 days is ideal for momentum.

*(Note: maximum submission period is 3 weeks)*

### Step 10: Create Dare

Once everything looks good, click **CREATE DARE** at the bottom.\
Your dare goes live immediately — it’s visible on the Explore feed, ready for submissions.

> Now the internet decides what happens next.

#### 🧯 Safety & Moderation

Dare Market runs on chaos, creativity, and proof - Not harm.\
Every dare must follow our core rules: **no danger, no hate, no illegal activity.**

If a submission crosses the line, it won’t go live. Repeat offenders get benched.

> Push limits. Not people. The best dares make the internet laugh, not the news.

#### Example Dares

**Community:**

> “High-five 10 strangers in 60 seconds — one continuous video.”

**PVP:**

> “I dare @username to freestyle rap using only movie quotes.”

***

Once your first dare is live, try [**joining one yourself**](/getting-started/join-a-dare) — or start watching submissions roll in.\
See how others interpret your challenge, upvote your favorites, and learn what makes a winning proof.

# Join a Dare

Not everyone starts as a **Dare Initiator** — some begin as a **Contender.**\
Joining a dare is where proof, performance, and nerve collide.

***

#### Step 1: Find a Dare

Head to **Explore** from the top menu to see what’s live.\
You’ll find a mix of:

* **Community Dares** — open to everyone.
* **PVP Dares** — one-on-one call-outs, creator vs. creator.
* **Crowdfund Dares** — dares waiting for backers to fund the bounty (Fund-my-dare)

Sort by **Trending**, **New**, or **Highest Bounty** to find the ones that speak to you.

> **Best case:** you win the bounty *and* rack up views.\
> **Worst case:** you lose — but everyone knows your name.

***

#### Step 2: Read the Rules

Click into a dare to open its full page.\
You’ll see the title, description, bounty, and submission deadline.\
Read the rules carefully: what counts, what doesn’t, and what proof is required.

> Every dare has a contract — break it, and your submission won’t count.

***

#### Step 3: Submit Your Proof

When you’re ready, click **Commit to the Dare.**

Your content should be **created specifically for this dare.** Reposts, edits, or recycled footage won't perform as well.

***

**For dares requiring video submissions, you have three options:**

1. **Record Directly on Dare Market**\
Capture your proof in real time without leaving the platform.
2. **Submit from X**\
Link to your video directly from your X account.\
 *(See Link X for instructions.)*
3. **Submit from TikTok**\
Link to your video from your TikTok account.\
 *(See Link TikTok for instructions.)*

> **Proof beats polish.**\
> One good take is worth more than ten perfect edits.

***

#### Step 4: Timing Matters

Once your submission is live, **timing becomes strategy.**\
The earlier you post, the longer your entry has to collect votes, views, and comments.\
Last-minute submissions still count—but they get less exposure before voting closes.

You can view, comment on, and interact with other submissions at any time.

> Post early, post accurately, and give the crowd time to rally behind you.

***

#### Step 5: Collect Your Winnings

If you win, your bounty appears in your balance automatically.\
From there, you can withdraw, fund new dares, or keep building your record.

Your profile keeps every win. Every interaction is tracked on the Leaderboard.

Points matter ;)

***

#### Tips for Winning Submissions

* Follow the rules down to the letter.
* Make your proof obvious — don’t leave it to interpretation.
* Keep your clip short, high-energy, and public-safe.
* The best submissions make people laugh, gasp, or double-take.
* Respect the line: chaos is allowed, harm is not.

***

#### Safety & Moderation

Big Brother is watching — literally.\
No dangerous stunts, hate speech, or illegal activity allowed.\
If your submission crosses that line, it won’t go live, and repeat offenders get banned.

> Push limits, not people. The best dares go viral because they’re clever, not reckless.

# Votes, Visibility, and Winning

Voting starts the second you hit upload. Everything after that is survival of the most watchable.

On Dare Market, votes go live the second your submission hits the feed.\
There’s no separate “voting phase.” Every moment your proof is up, it’s earning more views, more reactions, and potential glory.

***

#### How Voting Works

Anyone on Dare Market can upvote submissions while the dare is active.\
Votes are public and update in real time.\
When the submission deadline hits, voting stops and results lock automatically.

The submission with the **most upvotes** wins (unless the dare was set to “Initiator Selects Winner”).\
If multiple winners are enabled, the **top 20%** of entries split the bounty.

> Votes are validation. The crowd decides who’s legendary.

***

#### Timing Is Strategy

Because voting starts immediately, early contenders have the advantage.\
The faster you post, the more exposure time you get: more views, more votes, more potential traction.

Last-minute entries can still win, but they’re fighting the clock and the algorithm if the crowd is deciding the outcome.

> Post early, post clean, and let the crowd carry you.

***

#### Visibility Mechanics

The Dare Market feed rewards performance:

* Submissions with higher engagement surface to the top.
* Views, votes, and comments create a positive feedback loop.
* The more you interact, the more visibility your own entries gain.

Every action — posting, voting, commenting — shapes what rises to the top of the feed.\
Dare Market is a living, breathing leaderboard.

> We reward participation. You can’t win if you don’t show up.

***

#### Winning Logic

When the timer hits zero:

* **Community Dares:** top-voted submission(s) win the bounty.
* **Initiator-Judged Dares:** the dare creator manually selects the winner(s).
* **Multiple Winners Enabled:** top 20% by votes share the bounty.

All results finalize automatically, and funds move directly to winner balances.\
Winners are announced instantly on the feed and reflected in the [**Leaderboard**](/getting-started/points-and-leaderboard).

***

#### How Votes Build Reputation

Every upvote, every win, every viral moment adds to your [**Points**](/getting-started/points-and-leaderboard) — the system that measures reputation on Dare Market.\
Points push you up the [**Leaderboard**](/getting-started/points-and-leaderboard), unlock visibility, and define your standing in the community.

You earn points for:

* Daring (creating or joining)
* Winning
* Funding
* Voting
* Referrals

For more, visit [Points & Leaderboard →](/getting-started/points-and-leaderboard)

***

#### Safety & Moderation

Votes don’t excuse violations. Unsafe, hateful, or illegal submissions are removed instantly — votes and all.\
Big brother is watching.

> Push limits, not people. The best dares make the internet cheer, not panic.

# Points & Leaderboard

Points don't lie. People do. The Leaderboard remembers what the feed forgets.

#### How Points Work

Points measure **proof of participation and platform use.**\
Every action that fuels the ecosystem adds to it — daring, creating, funding, winning, and **voting responsibly.**

Did you really think we were going to tell you exactly how points work here? The exact math isn't public for a reason. \
All you need to know is this: the system rewards movement.\
The more you do, the heavier your name gets.

> Sincerely, points that actually will amount to something.

***

#### The Big, Beautiful Leaderboard

The leaderboard updates in real time as you create, submit to, and win dares.\
Remember how we said legends will be made from this platform? We weren't kidding.

**Columns**

* **Submissions** — how many dares you’ve entered.
* **Wins** — how many you’ve conquered.
* **Dares Created** — how many you’ve initiated.
* **USD Earned** — total bounty claimed.

Everything else is hidden by design.

> Don’t chase the algorithm. Feed it.

***

#### Earning Points

Without spoiling the system, here’s what we can tell you:

* Create dares.
* Join dares.
* Win.
* Vote on submissions that deserve it.
* Bring others in.

The system tracks more than what’s visible.\
Some points are steady. Others are rare.\
Some you’ll trigger without realizing.

> The only way to understand it is to play it.

***

#### Rank & Reputation

Your rank reflects activity *and* influence.\
Go viral, win dares, fund chaos, and everyone's going to know your name.

If you stop moving, you drop.\
Momentum is the only metric that matters.

> Consistency wins. Silence disappears.

***

#### Fair Play

Points can’t be bought.\
Fake accounts, spam votes, or rigged dares are flagged and removed.

> Big brother is watching

# 1-800-FUND-MY-DARE

This page will walk you though a separate type of dare that allows you to crowdfund your very own dare ideas.

Some dares need backup before they go live.

**Fund My Dare** lets creators raise the bounty for an idea they’ll complete themselves, that is, if the internet decides it’s worth funding.

#### How It Works

1. **Post your dare:** describe what you’ll do, set a funding goal, and add a cover image.
2. **Raise the bounty:** backers buy in through a live funding curve until the goal is hit.
3. **Lock and prove:** once funded, trading freezes. You must complete the dare and submit proof.
4. **The crowd votes** — backers verify it happened.
 * If **69%** or more vote yes, you get paid.
 * If not, backers can exit and reclaim funds.
5. **Get paid** — on approval, the bounty releases straight to you (minus 6.9% platform fee)

If the vote fails or you don’t submit proof by the deadline, backers can exit and reclaim their funds.

***

#### Why It Exists

Not every idea should die in the group chat.\
Fund My Dare gives creators a way to turn bold concepts into funded commitments without existing capital.

> If the idea is good enough, they’ll pay to see you do it.

***

#### Rules

* You can withdraw funds only before the dare reaches its goal, though this is not recommended.
* Once bonded, trading locks until voting finishes.
* No proof = no payout.
* Illegal or unsafe activity will be removed, no matter how funded it is.

Game changer, innit

# What fees does Dare Market take?

Only two:

* **2.5%** on dare creation (from the initial bounty)
* **6.9%** when winnings settle

That’s it. No hidden Scheiße (BS).

# Can I withdraw?

Yeah. If you’ve earned it, it’s yours.\
Winnings, refunds, and balances can all be withdrawn straight from your profile.\
We use Solana and USDC — fast, cheap, final.

# What’s stopping people from faking proof?

The crowd. Votes are proof-of-human-intelligence.\
If your submission’s fake, it probably won’t survive community voting.

# Can brands or creators run dares?

Absolutely. Dares can scale from inside jokes to full campaigns — just make them real.

# What if someone posts something dangerous or illegal?

They’re gone. Instantly.\
Our moderation stack catches most of it before it even goes live.\
Push limits, not people.

# What happens if no one joins or funds my dare?

Then it just dies in silence. Not every dare deserves to live.\
You can always repost, remix, or up the bounty next time.

# Do I need crypto to use Dare Market?

Nope. You can sign up with X, TikTok, or email.

\
Crypto rails (Solana + USDC) handle payouts transparently and securely, but everything feels Web2 simple.

You can onramp USD directly on Dare Market via Moonpay. Navigate to Wallet -> Add Funds
